Our Oriental Studs
At Rislani Cats we have been extremely lucky to have the support of some of our fellow breeders and have been allowed the very great honour of having their blood lines in stud form - something many breeders simply will not allow with their bloodlines. We greatly appreciate the trust and ongoing support from our stud's breeders.
CH Rislani Morpheus
BLACK ORIENTAL (Cinnamon Carrier, Dilute Carrier, PRA Status: Carrier)
Pet Name: Morpheus
DOB: 17th March 2018
SIRE: GD CH Azov Brandy Alexander
DAM: Rislani Proud Mary
In February 2018, a very sad and unexpected event happened at Rislani, our gorgeous fawn oriental stud boy, GD CH Azov Brandy Alexander suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.
As sad as Brandy's passing was, we were lucky enough to be able to keep his lines 'alive' in our breeding program as Rislani Proud Mary was pregnant at the time of his death. This litter would be Brandy's LAST litter... so we have kept the rather large singleton kitten born from this litter to fill the very empty hole in our cattery left by his father.
Morpheus has only attended a few shows, however, he does not like the noise or having strangers handling him so once he obtained his Champion title in early 2019, Morpheus was retired from the cat show circuit.
To date his crowning achievements are:
GCCFV - JOINT BEST OPPOSITE SEX KITTEN 2018
Ayudha Hakuna Matata
CINNAMON ORIENTAL (PRA Status: Negative)
Pet Name: Pumba
DOB: 4th August 2020
In 2020 we decided it was time to introduce some new bloodlines into our breeding program and started investigating the possibility of importing from overseas. We were lucky enough to find new (imported) bloodlines right here in Australia!
Pumba's father was imported from Canada and his mother from New Zealand. We feel extremely lucky to have Pumba in our breeding program and would like to thank Shara from Ayudha Cattery for this absolutely lovely natured boy. We cannot wait until he is old enough to father his first litter!
Pumba is one of the most laid back studs we have ever had the privelage of owning. He is often carried around like a baby by our niece who is currently living with us, and comes racing the second she says his name. He is extremely loving, sweet and placid in nature. Hopefully some of these traits get passed onto his offspring!
